In the vicinity of the Quinta you can find a cluster of charming villages unlike any other in Portugal: the Schist Villages. Built from the local schist stone, these quaint settlements offer a glimpse into a bygone era, showcasing traditional Portuguese architecture and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Tthe most famous in our area is Piódão. The Serra da Lousã has many such Xisto villages, such as Talasnal and Casal Novo.
